Hello all, Really a very good idea. Opening this forum in parallel with PW, thank you very much. On the subject of the ban. First of all I would like to say that I am very sorry about all this. Especially the fact that the thread was closed because of my OT. I would like to apologise again to everyone in the forum and especially to you, Tyr. Regarding the incident itself, I can only say that apart from the posts as they are to be read in the thread, no other posts were made. So no direct attack or denigration of a member. I was banned without warning. My ban lasts until 10/15. How long Mac and Pete have been banned I can't say of course. As soon as my ban is over I will immediately contact the admin and ask for the thread to be unlocked. If I have to give up my account at PW for this, or if a small compensation for the administrative process would be necessary, this is also fine with me. I absolutely agree with my ban because of OT, but not so much with the fact that the thread was closed immediately. I am against colective punishment. I also think that Mac and Pete were punished too harshly. I apologise again so much, Tyr. Feel free to post this in the thread at PW as well. As long as it helps to clarify the situation. Deleted A more modern web application will be preferred by search engines. That's just how things are. This platform properly supports HTTP over TLS. That alone will make it preferable.

FWIW they played with self-signed certificates, which made the browsers really scared (which is bad design of the browsers, since they should be more scared of no certificates in login). Somebody must have complained because they backed off to no-certificate again. Which is silly since a real certificate from a real certificate authority can be gotten for free or for cheap and it actually same hassle than self-signing these days.

CyberGene Well, I don't know. I'm not even sure I know what his username on the forum is, I've never communicated with him and I've only heard people referring to him as Frank. I feel slightly uncomfortable to contact him directly like that.

You can find him in some of the most "high profile" forums and "sticky" threads (e.g. instrument sales) and in the user list. His username has the "owner" badge (where some people have the "gold", "platinum" etc).

But I understand your unease and I don't intend to push you to do what you don't want.

I get it also! But the video works in Youtube. Why the black screen here, I don't know.

It's possible to disable embedding in each video's settings. Then it needs to be watched on the YouTube site or in the YouTube app on iOS, Android or smart TVs.

Yes, the Williams allows me to study
big-time works the same as any high
end acoustic piano can. I have nearly
mastered Krakowiak and can play it at
75% tempo from beginning to end. Now
that I have mastered the technique using
the "coin on the hand" technique of great
pianists, I am considering playing by memory
using a photographic approach, followed by
tactile, visual, and auditory memory.

I had also been banned from PW at times for
sharing my views and advice, and was sick of
being ridiculed by the so-called pianists and
moderators.

Admin …. we need to close this thread as that (you know who I mean) are way off topic and they constantly whinge about the darkside - oh hang are we here in the darkside. Of course you cannot enlighten me over this as if we are in the darkside then we are not aloud to shine a light on the subject. Hmmmm help in a tail spin too late!
