Wow that’s a fantastic news! I’ve been wanting a proper grand piano with the Modern U engine but some recent (intentionally misleading, as it seems 😃) comments from VI Labs made me think that wouldn’t happen. And now this! Brilliant. What’s your honest opinion about it?
You can hear for yourself the demos and videos, but I feel I've just found my desert island piano VST with the Modern D. It's a concert grand VST that has the lyricism of Ivory II American D, but with the quality and detail of Modern U. Now we also have versatility of a great modern New York D.

Wow, I'm so psyched! They really managed to keep a tight lid on this - I thought their next release would be much farther down the road based on their recent communications.
In any case, I plan to purchase and download as soon as I can.
If it's anything like the Modern U in terms of realism and playability, this could set the new benchmark level.

I've now listened to most of your demo's, and of course the playing is wonderful, but that was not surprising. The sound however is; these sound like recordings of a real piano being played. That's quite unusual, and I have for example never found the VSL demo's convincing in this respect.
QuasiUnaFantasia it’s interesting that you should say that. Sometimes when I play the piano dry, without any reverb, I have a déjà vu feeling that I was in my professor’s studio having a lesson.

For VPC1 users, please use this curve. It can work either with the default or ivory curves on the keyboard. Have fun!

I can believe it, and coming from you that is very high praise. The demos sound amazing. In any case, I've already purchased it and plan to download this evening when I get home from work.
