pianow confirmation
i hate audo correction (but I'm so lazy to change it)
QuasiUnaFantasia
i hope it'll be better then the modeled pianoa I'm familiar with
CyberGene
same here, i never liked Roland piano sounds, in matter of fact i don't like 99.999% of the onboard sounds on DPs but Roland is the least interesting at least for me.
johanibraaten
agreed 100%
Are they charging for it or is it free?
David B I actually have the same question! StudioLogic's NumaPlayer is completely free (and completely inaccessible).
David B Are they charging for it or is it free?
Free from Roland?
They once charged me for a call to their customer service center, so no, Roland gives nothing for free, and I mean nothing!
Now, about this purported VST (not free), I’m not sure what they’re trying to do here….
Are they telling customers to “buy a Roland, but if you want to run our VST on that FP-90X you overpaid for, you’ll need to pay us some more!”
How do they get away with this kind of s#it; do we not have any government agencies protecting the customer from these predatory companies?

seriously F them for doing such thing
Pete14 Free from Roland?
Hey, don't forget about the free cloud account that allows you to buy license keys. Earth piano isn't listed yet, but I assume pricing will be here once it's GA:
CyberGene Sounds to me like the typical Roland sound, overprocessed, bright, punchy, exaggerated, nasal at places. Most probably it’s all of their engines: sampled, supernatural, modeled. Not interested at all.
This is what I like. That Roland is making Roland piano. Not German, Italian or Nigerian. Just their own.
And remember - you don't like it, but there are thousands who will love it 🙂
pianow seriously F them for doing such thing
And that’s not even the worst part!
I was charged $9.99 per minute, and the “representative” knew nothing about pianos, and on top of that, she kept asking “what are you wearing?”
It was the most unprofessional service, “how’s it hanging”, I’ve ever experienced, and yet they stuck me with a huge bill!
Khuja Wangtishvili And remember - you don't like it, but there are thousands who will love it 🙂
Roland piano sound is indeed popular among gigging musicians and for pop/smooth jazz, etc since it can cut through the mix and that’s not an easy thing to do. I don’t think Roland target classical musicians though, so everything is in its right place.
Pete14 what are you wearing?
💀💀💀 bro I'm starting to think that you've called someone on the OF platform instead of Roland's costumer service
Pete14 How do they get away with this kind of s#it; do we not have any government agencies protecting the customer from these predatory companies?
i don't think so, but you can always press the "i ain't giva fawk" button and like my people say "listen to their words through your di-+💀"
it's not like their vst bullshit is essential to anyone's setup or anything, the vst Market is very big at the moment
David Lai and completely inaccessible
wdym exactly? is it not usable without studio logic hardware or it's not usable at all? it seems like an interesting app
pianow wdym exactly? is it not usable without studio logic hardware or it's not usable at all?
I meant that for someone like me, using a screen reader, I can't access the interface, select a sound, and play.
pianow bro I'm starting to think that you've called someone on the OF platform instead of Roland's costumer service
What is “the OF platform”?
Pete14
adult content bullshit

oh i see
I prefer Roland's modelling to Pianoteq. It doesn't sound very real, but it's easier on the ears.

Pete's gonna explode in 3 seconds from now.

Johnstaf I agree. PianoTeq isn't very good at all sound wise! Roland, though hollow in the mids, is OK otherwise. The sound in the FP-90X is actually quite workable. Both modeling, but Roland is better than PianoTeq.
pianow Haha, let's see Pete explode!
