It could be that these DPs aren’t thoroughly thought through and executed because there’s neither much demand nor competition to warrant such attention to detail?
It seems like we want it all (at discount prices), yet when we get it all (Alpha piano?) we look elsewhere?
We begged for a concert-grand action and Alpha gave it to us, but of course that came at a steep price, and then we passed on it, and Alpha went under, so any manufacturer paying attention will think twice before “going all in.”
The hypothetical “NV-20” comes to mind, and how, no matter how much I asked James, he never delivered it, and perhaps because of the above: Kawai is hesitating to go all in (baby cabinet, huge soundboard, Neotex, etc..); only for all of us, asking for these very things, to pass because “it’s too expensive.”
IMHO!
