Pete14 Why do you always make up excuses for Casio?
Do I need to add something more to "your pal (Mike Martin)"? 😀
(Who briefly appeared on the Policitaldiscussionnotallowed World Forum.)
And I believe they only say that the action is smart. And that's because:
"The Smart Hybrid Hammer Action Keyboard harnesses Casio's digital technology to detect and analyze in real time how the keys are pressed, in order to finely control the mechanisms that produce the sound."
It both detects and analyzes how the keys are pressed. And all this in real time and not seconds later! 😮
I.e. they measure the speed of the keys with silicone dome sensors on a PCB like almost every digital piano has done since the 80's. Truly revolutionary!
"88-key Digital Scaling achieves variations in touch response across the entire key range."
So instead of going through the trouble of manufacturing 88 different keys and hammers, they Digitally Scale the keys! What a time to be alive!!!1 😲
So, assuming 4 grading zones 84 of the keys behave unnaturally as their physical weight doesn't correspond with the "digitally scaled" velocity value used to produce the sound. Such innovation!
See. That's how smart the action is.
