Keep in mind that the new sensors aren’t just a ‘solution’ to the loud note (that happens by extension).
These sensors replace the ages-old optical sensors; which Yamaha introduced back in the 90s with the GranTouch, so yes, these new sensors have been a long time in the making, and not some simple add-on.
Yamaha has also moved the subwoofers to face upwards instead of the current front-facing woofers.
The samples are spankin’ new, and there’s more modeling, yet nothing from this crowd; other than asking “when’s the new LX-7XX coming?”
I can assure you that the new LX-7XX will cost as much if not more than the NU1X-A, yet the latter is a real instrument, and the former is a hyped-up boombox with overcooked tech, cheap-looking cabinet, and the same-old action/sound-engine; only they’ve renamed it, “Piano Unreality.”
