hi there, it's been months since i bought the md from our friend @CyberGene

and it's been pure joy playing around with it, it sits well in mixes and arrangements and for the first time after the garritan cfx i feel like the microphones are useful and aren't there fore show off.

but there are some features i wish it had…

01 - obviously a mic mixing desk : the current mic mixer isn't bad but me personally i'd like to do more to separate microphones, and truly that's the only way to get the most out of them, so i think just a volume fader for each is a bit lazy, i'd like to be able to eq, compress and saturate them separately, having access to the panorama, stereo width and such would be awesome too,

the ability to load one mic pos several times is also a good one, not because i need to have 5 hammer sets to get something done, but sometimes you need to have one mic pos with two different eq settings or sometimes you want the same mic to be stereo and also want its variant to be mono and more punchy and mixing them with each other can give you more possibilities, and of course i'd like to have the imaging part on separate microphones also to be able to make them mono without combining the two separate stereo signals (that cause a lot of problems especially with phase and polarity stuff, it's better to have a mono signal and it's way better to have the ability to make different microphones mono by removing one side of the stereo signal and play the other side on both speakers which vilabs actually does with their pianos {it's not on every mic yet} and i really like this feature.

02 per note adjustments : i know this sounds weird probably but there are little things that i'd like to fix in different notes, some notes sound thin some others sound way warmer then others and i love to be able to fix this, it's not a game changer but i don't think it's a lot of work for the company either, sometimes i love to boost or cut the hammer sound in the higher registers to give them more body or make them sound thinner depending on the project.

03 native instruments tonal depth : having this feature on the modern d is a dream, some higher notes have shorted sustain and it's not a bad thing by any means since it's how exactly this newly manufactured piano sounds like but sometime i'd like to go beyond the physical limitations of the actual instrument, like with noire i can give it a very powerful and long sustain and for a synthetic quality it sounds quite realistic (not 100% but you can't spot the unrealisticness all the time and it's subtle)

that's it, my wish list that i'd love to see one day, actually i'd give my right arm to see them making their own player with all the mentioned features and 24bit 48khz quality samples.
