And I also wonder about that Magdalena biatch, for I’m sure you’re aware she tried to take credit for many a’ Bach’s compositions, going as far as saying she wrote the aria (for them Goldbergs). The nerve in that biatch!
I’ve also heard his eyesight took a hit from all those years composing under candlelight, and then, “a doctor” blinded him whilst attempting surgery on his frail eyes! 👀
Now, for some perspective, it seems like the whole world was miserable back then, and perhaps I’d be, too, if suddenly I found myself having to squat & drop in a hallway whilst all watched (or did Bach have a toilet?); not to mention, no electricity (for my P-515), no running water, no air conditioning, no PC (pianoclack)….. now that I think about it, it would probably be a stretch to ask them people to “smile” whence they only had reasons to cry!
And here, you people complain about everything…..shame on you all!
BTW, I once had to “squat & drop” in front of a room full of people, but that was an emergency caused by an unruly burrito from Chipotle! 😊
