The Experience - Fazioli F308

Thanks for the kind words. I've got more in the works.

Besides the tips, there a few simple ways to encourage me:

Post a video or audio of some music played on it - that's the main reason I share.

Write a review on Pianobook so it remains in the top rated list (need to actually write some words).

dore_m

Mta88 Maybe one day I'd be lucky enough to have the resources, time, space and energy to immortalise my 88 year old Danemann upright and post it up for everyone to enjoy.

If you record your piano as I suggested (I'd have to find the PW/PC post), I can make the instrument for you.

Mta88

I will most definitely write a review to keep it on the list.

And when time Permits, I will make some recordings and share it on YouTube or this website . (My day off maybe 🙂 )

Presently I've a baby , two kids and wifey alongside a rather demanding job among other things lol..

I don't have the mics to record properly but when I do we will chat. Will have to find that post and read up on how to record etc.

Mta88

Just left a review. Again Keep up the good work.. I had a shitty day. Your software made that better lol.

Very possible This be the case.

Real pianos, particularly the ones we have locally a.k.a really old English pianos that were left to experience the elements over the past two generations are rather difficult to play but once you get the hang of them the music they can produce is like creating Divine Air.

Mta88

Just Posted this on Soundcloud.

Recorded it using my Korg B2 with built in speakers

Had to rush it to not wake anyone lol so forgive any mistakes the volume was very low.

Cheers Guys hope you all enjoy

@Mta88 thanks for sharing. Submit the demo on the pianobook website when you get a chance because that also increases my ranking. Enjoy!

CyberGene

Mta88 sounds really nice and makes me want to try any of the dore_m 's libraries (and I've promised him...) but recently I barely find 10 minutes in the evenings to just turn on my N1X and play a bit of Scriabin with the onboard sound...

Mta88

Thanks guys.

I’ll submit the demo

I hear u Cybergene. I literally stole 5 mins away 12am in the night when everyone was asleep lol.

Gotta find the time in between .

RIP

As I have posted on this forum, with extensive tests, most phones are decent enough. Not that good mics are unnecessary, but to get better results, better microphones alone are insufficient and you will need very careful attention to details (and time). If you are "sloppy" because you are in a hurry (as I was), the results from the phones are equal or better than the one from the good microphones.

Mta88 t had flaws, but what does that matter when it comes to matters of the heart? We love what we love.

👍☝️

Mta88

RIP this is Good to know

Apple claims that the MacBook Pro has studio quality mics

I can consider maybe recording using that when time permits

Mta88

The cover song I posted is from Mario 64 dire dire docks level lol

Any issue with copyright ? How does it work. I stated it’s a cover song, not sure how copyright works any other information that is needed to give credit to the original owners of the musical piece I can do that

Mta88

Currently trying to figure out how to post the demo. Gotta find the message button on Pianobook SoundCloud page lol . Downloading the app currently

Good one. Can't find it on the website either.

You might have to just tag it #pianobook and then send a message to them (using the mail icon)

That's true. The recording technique and controlling the ambient noise is the first major factor. I'm willing to cut up and make the instrument, for which I have templates - but noise reduction and taking out pops, creaks, birds, pots, pans, etc take a orders of magnitude more time. It's why I typically set up my piano in the day, and then in the late evening tell my family that I'll be recording for 15 minutes and send them to bed early. Less birds, less traffic, etc.

Pianissimo

Mta88

Heck, is it me or these Korg B2 speakers are very good??

Mta88

Pianissimo

They are pretty decent.

You aren’t gonna get room shattering bass or anything but for the heights and mid range coupled with the fact that they are so close to the Keynes. U get decent sound alongside vibration of the keys which adds realism for me at least

Pianissimo

Mta88 yes, and what mic did you use?
