This just in:
“England-Piano” in the USA has an MSRP of $23,399, and “Price” of $17,549, which lines up with my initial appraisal:
I suggest paying no more than 14K (perhaps 15K under certain circumstances) for this instrument, and if you pay more than that, I’m sorry, but “you’ve been had”!
This is the trick: they start with an exorbitant MSRP to then make it look like you’re already getting a massive discount for the actual “price” (in this case $17,549), but that “price” is where the negotiations begin, and depending on how tactful, yet assertive you are, the price can come down significantly, but if they smell fear or ignorance, you’ll end up paying close to 17K, or, worst case scenario, pay the full $17,549……don’t be had, I say!
On the subject of damper sensors, it seems more and more likely that they did not add these. 😔
Now, about the sound, I’m not sure if this is just empty rhetoric, but they talk about an “evolved” Shigeru, so I wonder if this means that the samples/modeling have been specially designed for this instrument instead of using the set included with the NV10\S…..
