JonFromMaine But I agree that the soft pedal, played on my NV10s, doesn't seem to be active or it's so subtle my ears can't make out much of a difference when it's fully activated.
Whether or not VSL intended to use the una corda samples from the old Vienna Imperial as they claim, something has clearly gone very wrong in the Synchron update.
I posted about the soft pedal issue on VI control forum and as far as I can tell no one there seems to notice, which made me wonder if I was taking crazy pills. But I'm glad several others here have been able to confirm that I'm not actually crazy.
In any case, they really need to issue a software update ASAP to fix this as well as the latency issue that many also are experiencing.
I'm actually kind of shocked they put this out for general release with so many obvious flaws, which makes me wonder what kind of QA process they have in place.
This and the fact that they are trying to charge $45 for a product I already own in an updated version that is clearly inferior to the original has left a somewhat sour taste in my mouth.
