[deleted] ..tested this for a moment played a quick excerpt to hear the soft pedal. It’s very gentle. I even swapped the pedals so soft is continuous. You can hear the difference when I punch the basses.. I’ve never played the original Imperial so I don’t know how close it is, but there’s still noticeable lag. I was just looking at the notes and trying new stuff out. Velocity still feels jumpy ..need to tweak that.
I have both the original Imperial and a trial version of the Synchron version, and have been comparing them back-to-back within my DAW.
In the Synchron version, the una corda barely registers. In fact, I'm not even certain there is any change at all when the pedal is engaged.
Whereas in the old VI engine, the change in tone is immediately noticeable when una corda is engaged.
If VSL claims they used the una corda samples in the Synchron version, I have no reason to doubt them, but it would seem something has gone wrong in the implementation.
