I used to be involved with SEO as a web designer and operated Google analytics for some clients. As far as they were concerned a ranking would only happen (without payment) by submission to Google through this way. Organic searches would not cut through. The main issue for us is that although this site is written English, it does not mean exposure to other language bases inc American English etc. We found that only using a VPN to test the Google servers in say Argentina, Moldova etc. From the UK we could test an eclectic range of countries but as the forum is worldwide there may be different results. It helps to have the country codes in the header record of the pages that get searched.
Of course as the engine game is like Tom and Jerry is always subject to change but offers a clue to the admins
