David B Also, it was a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the FP90X and it felt solidly built. This is not uncommon: equivalently designed/built/etc.. products to be a ‘couple hundred bucks cheaper’, if not more. I call it the Roland way: overprice now, improve later… But I digress, and this here thread should not turn into yet another battle, but before I leave, I ask, is it possible for at least one of you gentle souls to admit: “Rolands are overpriced”? that’s all I ask for.

All of this makes me wish I still had my old Kawai US-50 upright. 😉

Where on earth do you live, Quasi? ‘cause ‘round here the price difference between the NU1X & NU1XA is negligible.

If you go north some thousand miles, and then turn east for even more thousand miles, then there you are. Remember to bring waterproof clothing (umbrella's are useless around here). ⛈️

I can not imagine anyone ever buying an NU1X for anything remotely similar to the $7,900 you quote for its successor.

QuasiUnaFantasia I have no experience with the current generation of LX's, but the GP-500 was excellent, in my opinion. Better than all top-of-the-line digitals (non-hybrids) from the other brands.
