With all due respect, sir, it has already been said that N1X is almost perfect, yet not quite perfect, so that alone necessitates some ‘changes’!
Unlike Roland, Yamaha doesn’t simply rehash old tech by renaming it, “SuperDuper, PureAcousticBS, PianoUnreality,” etc… and if Yamaha does release ‘a sequel’, it usually turns out better than the original, and their current sensor-tech-II will surely surpass the original; not to mention, the new sound engine (RGE-II), speaker reconfiguration, and nice-and-modern, quasi-touch screen.
So yes, I maintain that it would be a mistake not to update the N1/3X now, for if they don’t, it will backfire (making these instruments look obsolete).
David has already sold his elephant, and I have it from a reliable source that CG is listing his as we speak, “selling barely played N1X….!”
How dare you question my authoritah!
