Sequential Take 5 patches and know-how

In a similar fashion to the equivalent ASM Hydrasynth and the Novation Peak/Summit discussions I am creating this discussion dedicated to the Sequential Take 5 synth. Also because someone on the Take 5 forum asked for advice on how to recreate a synth pad played by Lyle Mays.

The Take 5 is a very nice and analog 5-voice synth that has real analog VCO-s and analog 24dB filter topped up with a very extensive mod matrix, two digital effects in a small and portable form factor.

Here's the original track called “September Fifteenth” from the 1981 record “As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls” by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, where Lyle plays supposedly an Oberheim 4-voice:

Not an exact recreation but kind of there. Not sure about the chords either but the task here was the synth sound rather than the exact chord progression, voicing and timing. I just play some similar harmony by ear.

I've used velocity sensitivity for the filter envelope but it can be switched off for a smoother response.

Man, I love Metheny/Mays...

How I adore this album and other albums by these authors around this time. I love the work of Metheny and Mays. This music always stirs all my hairs.
