This subject is beyond my purview and therefore I thought I'd consult the collective knowledge of those here. I've been playing around with my son's Numa X Piano 88 (TP110 action) and I like all the layering capabilities and various sounds to play with. Therefore, the thought of buying the Numa Piano GT again (someone please stop me 😀) has crossed my mind. I owned the Numa GT (TP400 action) for a few days but sent it back due to an irregular midi function on a few keys. I subsequently bought the FP90X (PHA50) that I have now.

Studio Logic released firmware for the Numa line that seems to have addressed the problem I had by enabling individual key editing for midi sensitivity. However, there are a few folks on PW saying that the problem is still not solved and it's more likely a hardware issue. They are claiming significant inconsistent single key repetition volumes on several keys across the board. I contacted Studio Logic (they were very quick to respond) and expressed my concern mentioned above and inquired if any hardware changes have been made to address the "problem" some have experienced. They assured me that it's not a hardware issue and was a software issue corrected by their most recent firmware update and they're planning more updates in the future that will continue to improve the playability.

So my question has to deal with the sensor placement. I remember there was good discussion about sensor placement in the thread about the novel midi controller by Vidal. https://pianoclack.com/forum/d/971-vidal-new-midi-controller-being-developed

It was suggested that it was better for the sensors to be farther away from the pivot to reduce the compounding effect of tolerance variation. It was also suggested the angle of the sensors/contacts might make a difference also. Therefore, I was considering the sensors of the TP400 compared to the PHA50.

PHA50 sensors are depressed by the hammer approximately mid way from the key pivot. See illustration below.

The TP400 sensors are depressed by the key much closer to the key pivot. See illustration below.

The PHA50 action is tried and true. Very consistent. Currently the same cannot be said for the TP400. Could it be the result of the placement and activation of the sensors? I watched a factory tour of the Fatar keyboards and they do calibrate each keyboard individually. You can see it at the 24 min mark in the video below. At the 22 min mark thy show the TP400.
