As I just purchased old Kawai CA67, I would like to run through it some piano VST. I think it's much better way to upgrade this fantastic piano with putting 300-500 dollars into vst than 1000 in new model like CA79 or so. It's still GF2 and not GF3, but I have acoustic upright and will be playing my CA it mainly via headphones.
However - I want it as hassle free as possible - which means that after installation it should work without a screen, in a way that I only push a button which will turn on the device, than it will automatically run my VST with the settings I set up earlier during configuration.
From what I read on PW, the best is MiniMac from 2012, but there are several version and I have no bloody idea about macs. Therefore my preference would be NUC / Windows operated computer, but I am not dead set on this and if Mac will work better, let it be. I have seen few with 8gb RAM and i5 processor for 150euros on local classifieds.
I do not have yet any vst chosen, and while I like generally like Kawai sound, CA67 engine has very muffled bass and resonances are poor. My preferred choices would be Ravenscroft, Garritan CFX or Ivory3, but they cost hefty money, so maybe Pianoteq? But this is secondary question.
So, I just want to click two buttons - ON on piano and ON on fanless computer and play and not wait 5 minutes until it will be ready.
Can any of you can guide me please, is it all at all possible and and if yes, where I can find any resources to read how to set up it that way?
I have seen people here and there had such solution, but I have no idea how to do it all.
Thanks
