Interesting, whether their claims will match reality. It's a pity that they do not have have samples to listen, but already product to buy. An only on Mac now 🙁

I see on the box Windows version coming soon… I am a bit frustrated.

I read also that the v3 engine will open v2 libraries. I don’t know how these libraries will be enhanced.

I was a long time on Windows. in the past, i don't want buy Apple.

But with new M1/M2 mini mac Silicon without Fan and i discovered how great is to have a core audio without ASIO, WDM, Wavert…… and Samplerate bad SRC conversion , i love now my MAC.

Multiclient Midi / and audio in same core. Without layers, withotu asio or note asio, wasapi or not wasapi…. Windows Nightmare.

Never go to Windows again. And Audio routing is clean 🇪

But i can understand Windows user (I was) . I just share my great Music experien. on new Mac Silicon. (and in the past i was Windows Windows Windows, MAC is ….)

I'm listening now, so far, mixed feelings. Then again, I'm not much of a Steinway aficionado, in particular not the Hamburg ones. So not sure why I'm not over the moon at the moment. I'll listen some more.

HZPiano I don't trust anymore Demos.

For example VSL D-274 demos and default presets are not good. After some tweak incredible.

In another side : some Pianos with great Demos, and when you play it : not as good as demos…

I will just see if i fell connect with this IVory 3 , and if Sympathetic Resonance is real.

A Sampled Piano without Sympathetic Resonance, doesn't behave like a Piano.

But i'm a Hamburg Steinway aficionado (magical Steinway Bell sound) more than CFX.

I listened to most of those demos but stopped because I wasn't enjoying what I heard.

I do suspect something odd is going on with those recordings, and/or as OlivierW says, the settings that were chosen. Weird.

At this moment, I do enjoy the good old American D much more, and in very capable hands, see/hear what happens 😇:

HZPiano yes we have to investigate.

So i'm currently download Ivory 3 library.

But already, the "AU" plugin doesn't work on Logic 10 : " not signed by Apple"

Only standalone work (open) but still not have all samples….

First bug ! 🙂

HZPiano Thanks Hz for this Video : i hear the Steinway "Bell". For sure the Syn. 3 demos are recorded with to much ambience and not enough close. But most people like this way…

I used to be a huge fan of Ivory, so I was pleasantly surprised do read this news. However the demos are somehow clanky to my ears but I haven't listened to them through my Sennheiser HD650-s which is what I use when I have to make a final judgement, hopefully the things are better there 😕

Listened to the demos. First of all the samples piano sound extremely clear, almost Fazioli like, still has a bit of that Steinway depth and deepness and a tiny dose of typical Steinway muddiness, but there is something really beautiful in that and something that left me indifferent. I listened to all of the demos to exclude performer effect.

It also sounds too spacious and with too much reverb or decay, I don't know what is right here, just too much hall effect, or their default is mainly made of distant microphones. Whatever, despite its all good things, there is something odd here.

seems that the demos are midi files of pianist with Hall reverb settings. with most mic Ambience.

Again, i don't trust any demos (bad or good). only under fingers, in live. (after my own preset)

Against midi file to compare piano or do demos.
