Which headphone you use for digital piano practicing?

Hi, It's been a year since I got here and have been practicing piano like a madman on P-515 and ATH M50x headphone, but lately the headphone has started developing cracking noise when I play loud passages, I wonder if it has run its course and maybe want to upgrade to better headphone. Which ones do the folks here for practicing? I'm eyeing on Sennheiser HD600 or HD650, maybe it could last longer than M50x. Thank you.

HZPiano I liked both quite a bit but also discovered I'm not a closed-back fan so that is where the 560s won the final race.

I've been experimenting with Sennheiser's new 620s closed back headphones. The timbre and frequency response is pretty much identical to the Sennheiser 58X Jubilee open back headphones that I own. I'm really impressed withe the 620s. They do a good job at blocking ambient noise wile not compromising sound quality. They are still in the sound reference category.

Well, yes, in the case of a cherished family member needing the airco on, that is of importance ☺️.

In my case, that is not a factor and closed-back gives me the somewhat claustrophobic feel -- which I now assume is why I avoided headphones altogether for most of my life. Open back was new to me and turned out to be a good fit, alleviating my averse against headphones.

Yeah, David Lai's post about his Momentum 4 noise canceling headphones got me thinking about a solution to my problem. Closed back seems to be the best option for piano playing without the latency of noise cancelling phones. A quick search revealed Sennheiser's brand new 620s. A little more expensive than I planned on, but affordable considering I had $280 of cash back reward accumulated on my credit card (2% cash back with every purchase).

Amazon had them at my house the next day. I just ordered another pair (should be here on Monday) because I have two concerns related to fit and I'm going to see if it's normal. I'll do a more detailed review if I keep the phones.

i have an audio interface so i use a 250 ohm headphone (hard to drive)

and it's a german BEYERDYNAMIC DT 770 PRO

Open Sennheiser hd560s

For me are the BEST headphones sub 200. Do you not need antything else. Comfortable and good sound.
