Piano Clack Anniversary

This forum has reached its first year of operation. This past Saturday (or Sunday?) marks the day.

(And it also marks the anniversary of my departure from Piano World.)

Ohh, you're right, it was indeed one year ago on October 3rd. We have 162 registered members already, 520 discussions and more than 13k posts. I also like that there hasn't been any need for moderation so far, the tone is friendly and people are considerate. Thank you all 👍🏻 I hope this will be the trend in future.

PianoClack really is a nice place to hang out, and I'm very happy to be a part of it. Over in PW there is unfortunately a lot of (at times quite nasty) bickering (well, maybe just in the "Pianist Corner"), which we have been able to avoid here, even though there are considerable differences in our views on certain matters (though typically not piano-related ones). PianoClack feels friendly. 🙂

Congratulations on a very productive year!

My projections for the upcoming fiscal-year show a steady growth that will soon position us to overtake and/or outright buyout the competition.

For those of you slacking, keep in mind that I’m always watching, and for those of you working hard and going the extra mile, know that your hard work is appreciated by the administration, and you will be getting a bonus check in the mail.

Now, this is not to say that your performance was not good, but sadly you did not meet your quota, and whilst you came close, and I tried to convince the committee to ‘cut you a break,’ they rebuked by saying “if we give him a break, then everyone else will want a break.”

I did manage to secure an Amazon gift card in the amount of $5 for you….Enjoy!😁

Balanced is a good word. It seems we've avoided extremism as a community standard, and that seems to create a more welcoming community with diverse participation.

There may be no bonuses for everyone but due to some shrewd investments subsequent to a few of year 1’s more successful ventures by way of the COO Office, there is a slush f…. I mean the PC Christmas Club has been well funded for year 1. All ‘Clackers will find their stockings well stuffed at this year’s first annual Christmas Banquet!

Enough with the pleasantries.

I along with most charter members anxiously await both the first annual report by Cyber Clause’s DIY Workshop as well as anticipated news of it’s first official release …… and will it be totally modeled or also sampled? ….. and have traditional MIDI support? ….. and USB audio? ……and a touch screen? …..and how much will it weigh? …. and when will it ship? …. and ….. ?
