The "Softify Piano" is the Yamaha S6 compressed, velocity curved, detuned - made into the soft piano that producers love. I provided a "Softify" button. You turn it on, it's a cinematic piano. You turn it off, it's a semi concert grand. It uses the Kontakt tools to do this, so the SFZ version will be one (my preferred) instance of the soft piano. That is, I had to resample the Kontakt instrument into SFZ format so that people can enjoy it for free. But the SFZ version has zero controls.
I was puzzled at why the Yamaha S6 library hasn't had much traction on Pianobook, so I made a piano that the crowd over there might like. Its kind of a tongue in cheek experiment. I'm not going to market this one at all to see what happens. I literally used the S6 samples and processed them in Kontakt and made an on/off button. I wonder if people realize that a concert grand can be processed into a soft piano, but a soft piano can't be processed into a concert grand….
