Please, aloow me to vent this… As I commented some time ago, I am about to begin my journey on the gigging world (well, it is possible it ends quite soon, but that is another topic). So I wanted to get all I would need to present myself as a serious pro player 🤣. And, well, who does not like nice toys 😅. So I ordered from Thomann some days ago several items, as a K&M Spider Pro stand, a Behringer monitor and some other goodies. I have got today the Spider Pro… and, having paid for a NEW unit, getting one which is clearly USED (it even has some deep sratches on non exposed while travelling areas!), has got me really angry.
Of course, I can (and will) return it. But now I am close to the gig date and need the stand!. The usual way to work is that you return one item, they inspect it and then send the replacement. But that is too slow!. I can buy another one (and pay again!), so they would ship it immediately, and then return the other one. But the right way would be to send me a new one and order the return, without any extra payment from me. Wishful thinking 🤬
Of course, I have documented everything, before opening the box (the Thomann tape over the original one was already suspicious) and I have sent them an e-mail with all my findings. Let's see how they react.
All in all, as a long-time customer (and already for several thousand Euros) of Thomann, I am afraid they won't have much more money from me in the future if the solution is not stellar.
