MacMacMac Or ... you could ask them for a partial refund ... and you save some money.
Used equipment can be perfectly good.
After all, every item you buy brand new becomes used the moment you put it into service, right?
Aside from my piano, all of the piano-related hardware was bought used.
Some of it (the Adam monitors) were so close to new you wouldn't know they were used.
But they were priced as used items.
Yes, this is an option of course. I have also bought tons of used items, as my two Montage 6 synths at 50% their market price, one of them used… only once! (the white one, like new, boxed, and I got it for 1400€ 🤩)
I hope tomorrow I will get a message from Thomann. And then I will stablish my point on that option also. If they insist just on returning it, well, I will probably do that. But all in all, for them it is now a B-stock item already so, if they can save shipping costs (two trips more, return for this and shipping for new one) I guess they could be flexible. The largest blemish the support has in one of the spider legs, a 1 cm2 or so scrath, could be hidden with some careful work. The most visible part, the top, seems in very good shape. Today I was too upset to look at it in detail, but I have left it assembled on the acoustic piano room. Tomorrow I will assess it carefully and will hear what the seller has to offer. I guess a 20% discount could do for me.
I will let you know what happens!
Thanks you all for your comments and concern 🙏🏼
