Now, I am in trouble... I have upgraded my PC (an NVMe drive and a graphic card), then my PC id has changed and Dorian Marko Piano refuse to renew my licence !

I am trying to solve this issue with the support, but this kind of annoyance remember me that preserving the intellectual properties of editors is sometimes done to the detriement of loyal customers. Warez users are not so annoyed (until they hit a malware). I had already the annoyance of StarForce, the protection system of some games which was incompatible with Windows 7.

David B Yes it is somehow shocking. For beginners or gigging musicians it is not essential, but if you intend to play advanced classical music or jazz ( Keith Jarrett or Chick Corea style) playing without half pedalling feature is just like playing notes instead of playing music. Rubinstein referred to the pedal as the soul of the piano, and Horowitz called it, the heart of the piano for a reason! I think the people behind these VST are presumably top notch developers but for sure not proficient pianists.

David B I've tried it this summer. No half pedal and hammers tired, Steinway D not well regulated. And no Sympathetic resonance. And pedal bugs : i've returned it (with refund)

My activation issue is fixed. 🙂

Because of an email registration error, there were some trace of the wrong email which prevented the activation of a license associated with my real email. Suppressing the traces (...\AppData\Roaming\Auddict), and reinstalling the program fixed my issue.

David B Not always. When you release the pedal in VSL, the sustain still resonate (in a real piano it stop) while some keys are still down. This case of repedalling doesn't work in VSL. (works in Garritan, The Grandeur, Noire…) However VSL D-274 is still my favorite, but i use sustain/sympathetic resonance routed audio/midi in Pianoteq 8 and VSL becomes incredible to play (on my N1X the Steinway D feeling under my fingers)
