HZPiano Well, it seems their servers are so busy that perhaps I will need to wait until then! (BTW, it is the 14th of May, just in case someone has a real Grand to spare 😅)

Since i do not use VSTs, i may be out of my element here BUT …. when was the last time the manufacturer showed up - here! - before the first impressions?

Well, after Rogier from Key Instruments has contacted me by e-mail and has told me what I should have known, that when you download with Native Instruments "Native Access", the servers are from NI and not from the VI publishers… I have stopped the download (it was still at 5% or so), restarted the PC (even if it had just been started from scratch before) and, after that, the download speed is as fast as usual!

So, what happened before?. No clue!

But now, in short time, I will be able to play The Oeser 🤩

Key Well, it seems NI servers have some trouble, as speed has again gone to a very low one. To be sure it is not my PC nor my connection, I am just downloading a VSL 3GB instrument. It downloads at 300Mb/s. The NI app downloads at about 1.5Mb/s and stutters to even lower speeds…

So I am afraid I won't play it today!. I will leave it overnight if necessary… But is a pity, really, I am eager to play it 🙄

I was reinstalling a library via Native Access yesterday and it was unusually long with periods of seeming disruption. I was at work with 200+Mb per second download speed. It should have taken around 10-15 minutes but it took over an hour.

Still at 30% or so after all these hours 😭

Well, yesterday at close to 00:15AM local time 😴, the downloading ended and, after the installation finished, I was able to play a bit with The Oeser. Sadly, after all the time waiting, my first playing of it was dissapointing 😢

I don't want to deliver my verdict yet, as it was late and had no time to work with velocity curve and such in detail. But, well, sometimes first impression is the good one. I really hope this is not the case!

Today I am very busy as will be tomorrow so, over the weekend, I hope to have enough time to devote to this VI and, hopefully, change my view of it. I will let you know my final opinion on it. Which, of course, is just that, MY opinion.
