I just did the snowblower deed.
I saw somebody going up and down the block blowing snow off the main sidewalk. I don't know who it was, but he was out early this morning doing that. Probably the same guy who did it last year. Nice neighbor.
So then I figured I'd wait until wifey wakes up to do the front walk and the driveway. She sleeps in late so that could wait until the afternoon. We'd take turns pushing the snow blower.
But ... shazzam! It seems that somebody blew the snow off my driveway! So all I had to do was blow off the walkway and sweep the front porch. Nice.
The reduced workload was a blessing. I suffer from two kinds of back pain:
I get lower back pain when I have to lean into any kind of work ... like snow blowing. But when the work is done the pain passes quickly.
The second type is the result of a lumber stenosis. A pinched nerve causes pain to shoot down my left leg. Because of that I can't walk very far. But I'll have surgery for that in mid-February. It's "only" a laminectomy, not a spinal fusion. So with any luck I'll be back in business by March.
