spanishbuddha Of course there's a limit to how often you can keep the same old subjects fresh, without going off topic or straying into realm of Yuja Wang dress sense or Covid or US politics, etc, which this forum caters for as well.
Sir, we donât âcaterâ to Yuja talk round here, but we donât discourage it either!
That place is now much quieter, or as you imply, âthe noise-makers are no longer thereâ, but is that wise, to be so polite, nice, and quiet?
Last I checked, the ârealâ world is very loud and convoluted, and one either learns to navigate through the so-called noise, develops a thicker skin, or dies a slow and painful death.
Donât you see, itâs the noise that usually brings out the best/worst in us (ironically enough); because it forces us to speak a little louder, a little clearer, a little darker, and this can have a cathartic effect that sometimes can be transformational!
Also, this notion that a âformâ should serve as some form of encyclopedia for users to tap into is overly simplistic, static, and outdated in the same way an actual, literal encyclopedia is, for you see, learning is not about repeating/memorizing through brute and polite repetition, but rather about constantly adapting to our surrounding environment; which, unlike a static encyclopedia, is always evolving and changing. Today, âthe long cableâ might do the trick, but not necessarily tomorrow, and if you need a forum to tell you that, then, you have a problem, Houston!
This place right here caters to that, thinking outside the box, and no, it doesnât always end well, âscrew youâ, said one, but it forces you to step out of your memorized comfort zone, and that is way more valuable than âlearningâ about which cable suits you best, âthe long or the shortâ; because the shlong (short and long) of it is that people can effing google that; and if that google search leads here, then, sir, consider yourself lucky because youâre in for a bumpy, noisy, counterintuitive, dark and smelly ride; but if you make it to âthe other sideâ of the proverbial tunnel you will be the better for it, and trust me, the next time you join us for a ride, you, sir, will kick some ass!
