Regarding the notion recently raised about excessive off-topic content ...

I counted a total of 211 threads posted here.
Of those I see 61 that are off-topic.
That makes 71% on-topic and 29% off-topic.

I'm not seeing any excess of non-piano discussion.

Note: I counted only off-topic threads. I had no easy means to count off-topic posts.

“The Creator” has clearly spoken:

‘I created this forum for off-topic that may or may not revolve around pianos/music.’

So, it seems counterintuitive that “we” are now complaining about too much Yuja and not enough Rachmaninoff.

Perhaps the marketing department should do a better job at conveying what it is we do ‘round here because based on Mac’s highly unscientific 71//29% we are not fulfilling our off-topic quota, but I digress.

P.S.

I’m certain Kawai James has something to do with this conundrum we find ourselves in; he has infiltrated us incognito 🥸, and we must make an effort to look past the fake mustache, eyeglasses, and nicely tailored suit, for behind the disguise, our greatest nemesis, Kawai…..James!

Yes!

Now, we simply need to turn Gombessa (not easy), and send him back to PW to break the news to James.

I would volunteer, but James knows where my loyalties stand and, therefore, would not believe a word I say.

Gombessa, on the other hand, is a known Kawai agent; so, the question is, can we ‘turn’ him into a double-agent and send him back to James with a strategy, a gun, ammunition, and the threat of a Yamaha Jones?

He is an ambitious man, so yes, he would most certainly want to be King James III, but there is only one king ‘round here, and that is King CG IX!

We could perhaps offer him to be the ‘King’s Hand’, but knowing how greedy he is, I doubt he will accept.

It's too risky placing him in a position of authority given the Kawai programing he has been subjected to all these years. However, if we could successfully take him through our Level 5 deprograming and reeducation process, his rise to power in the Clack can be very useful to us.

I propose that we vote on David’s “deprograming and reeducation process.”

We cannot take this vote lightly, for there is still a possibility that our ‘level 5’ might not be enough on altering James’ loyalties, and if he feigns conversion and further infiltrates our kingdom, we are in serious trouble.

So I ask, fellow clackers, vote with your heart but follow only logic, for our kingdom and subsequent world dominance is at stake!

I’m all in for deprogramming as this will no doubt expand upon the current person, allowing them to once again grow …. become more their natural self. But, i draw the line at and fully veto the reduction process!

On an OT matter, i’ve heard their is a sight-reading thread here, somewhere. I too need some help on this front….. anyone?

Your have performed your duty for your king by submitting a vote to proceed with our ‘level 5’ process!

We understand that a level 5 can be seen as ‘too much’ by some, but please understand that we are dealing with a highly trained agent, James, and anything less than 5 could prove moot; if anything, I would go higher.

Project "Restart" has been suspended by the Congressional Oversight Committee. Anything beyond Level 5 and we would have to utilize our overseas contractors for that. "Restart" has had limited success and has resulted in a loss of subjects. Given James' high profile I would not suggest shipping him to one of our overseas camps that legally do not exist.

Is it illegal to tap into a resource that has been officially suspended (“no longer exists”)? Yes!

Would I still use it on James? Yes!

But I am willing to listen to alternatives, and if Restart does not please other members of parliament we will follow through with level 5 deprograming and reeducation process.

I also propose that Gombessa be sentenced to ten years hard labor if he is not willing to turn on James and act as a double-agent for our national interests!
