Forums are old school "content creating" tools. Everything today is "short videos" attention grabbing, the colourful and clickābaiting ā the more engaging. But also it requires more effort (shooting, editing, some scripting in advance), hence the short format (up to 30 sec.). But everyone with a phone can at least shoot whatever they see fit.
The downside is ā hard to search for a specific thing. You rely on stream and 'personalized topics' from likes and or subscriptions (to channels, topics) a.k.a doom scrolling. Similar to scrolling in forum threads to find something posted by someone or a whole thread feed.
Times have changed. Pianoāwise, less people are interested in typical acoustic pianos. Recently such facilities in Indonesia have closed (Yamaha) about an year ago. There is simply less and less demand for acoustics (has nothing to do with the wars states affairs; wars have been around for centuries). Acoustic pianos, especially grands are sort of luxury (yes, there are not so expensive ones) but you need the space, which less and less young students have, as they move quite frequently as a modern life style.
Digital pianos are ok. I would love to see more focus on improving them and abandoning the unnecessary need for them to mimic acoustic actions and such redundancy. Not to mention that the piano industry itself (and related activities) needs a kick in the but to get moving from its stagnation. The stagnation is caused by manifold reasons not just manufacturing facility workflows.
