The easiest way to try a Pro is a one week trial available on the plans.
Also, anyone on the free tier can unlock Pro on the Settings page, for free, and contribute to the community. Look at the TOC Registry section.
In GPhil, a TOC means a score “Table of Contents” made from cue markers. It tells the PDF viewer where each section of the music starts, so the score can jump to the right page during playback, rehearsal, and recorded page turns.
To create one, unlock PRO contributor two days pass:
- Open the score PDF in GPhil.
- Enter PDF Edit mode (hover lower part of the page on desktops, or long press on tablets).
- Turn on the Section Cue tool on the tools rail, open section image preview to have a reference where section starts.
- Go to the page where each section starts and place the cue marker (you can edit placement/size of the cue after).
- Section cue for current section will be created and app automatically selects the next section. Navigate to desired page and repeat steps for the next section. Continue until the score is mapped.
- Save, then use Submit TOC to send it to the public registry for review.
If someone already submitted a TOC for the same score/edition, you can use Import TOC > Public Registry instead of creating it from scratch.
GPhil also has a community contribution system. Sign in, go to Settings > TOC Registry, and you can activate a free 2-day Pro Pass to prepare and submit TOCs. Approved unique TOC contributions count toward contributor rewards:
- 2 approved TOCs: Contributor Pro extended to 1 month total
- 5 approved TOCs: extended to 3 months total
- 10 approved TOCs: extended to 6 months total
The main idea: if you map a score once and submit it, other pianists using the same edition can import it instantly and get working page navigation without doing the setup themselves. You can also submit your score with the TOC, if you are using not in-app scores. Users will be able to import both - your score and the sections map.
there is a help page on the app, you can always reference to it. I tried to make it clear and easy to understand.
