Now, we're all off-topic, and I will continue in that vein, even though this place is notoriously hard on off-topic'ing. 🤣
I used Pianoteq exclusively, until I got Garritan CFX Lite and Ivory II. Since that time I have only used Pianoteq fairly rarely, and only to create some variation. Now, after having bought the Galaxy II pianos, I will probably not have any desire to use it again. It's simply not good enough; the sound is rough, simplistic, and it creates ear fatigue in a way these other VI's don't.
In principle I am favourably disposed towards Modartts approach, and I certainly wish that they will keep going, and improve their product. But I am also somewhat surprised at how little they have achieved in all those years of working on Pianoteq.
