I tried to to a transcript of the video using Note GRT or Tactiq, but it didn't work.
Maybe someone will be luckier than I am?

Indeed and the "pedal foot" looks hollow, which is quite cool (I believe they removed the subwoofer that was in it sinc they are using the horizontal spruce board instead)

Successor of the Nv10s. Kawai James confirmed the presence of the audio interface for the new novus series on pianoworld.

which makes this upgrade very exciting.

I’m waiting for James’ “announcement,” but the “NV12” was mentioned by a forum member (as told to him by a dealer), and I remember a teaser by Kawai showing what looked like a small baby covered under a black cloak.

Now, there was some talk about a “partnership” with Pianoteq, so I’m still waiting to see what happens there, but yes, a sound card was confirmed for the NV6, so the purported NV12 should have one, too……good times!

The Pianoteq <-> Kawai story is an entirely different one, which soon became a mix-up and took on a life of its own.

It seems like the confusion stemmed from the fact that this “partnership” was vaguely mentioned during a short video featuring the NV6, so people assumed it had something to do with the new NV line, but perhaps they were simply talking about the “authorized” Kawai VST made in association with Pianoteq….

Still, I can only imagine the glorious Pianoteq ringing through that baby-like soundboard; especially now that Kawai included an audio interface (one-cable solution)…..

Of course NV12 will undoubtedly have some flaws, however for a Modern D user like you and me, combining an embedded USB-C audio interface and the Kawai Millenium III action is very appealing.

I simply hope that the sound system (amp, soundboard and speakers) will be good enough.

Upon a second look, the video might be a fake; if that turns out to be the case…..bummer!

On the one hand, the video shows this “baby-like” shape, but further into it, there seems to be some stock footage from the NV10/S; not to mention the fact that James hasn’t officially announced it.

Still, there seems to be something brewing, but if the NV12 ends up not featuring a soundboard, Yamaha might seize on the opportunity……

Is it possible that James himself used that Google “AI” to create fake videos? I can’t think of a reason but it’s a war out there between Kawai and Yamaha and these secret operations are just the tip of the iceberg.

Well, this video sounds like Mandarin, all be it with a Taiwanese accent, and it used the word "platform piano," which is the Taiwanese way of saying "grand piano." In the mainland, we call it "triangular piano." From what I can understand, it feels just like a preview.

I can see this scenario in the making…..

But Yamaha could potentially respond with the release of an N3XA with a soundboard; therefore, beating Kawai at their own game!

Release now, James, or risk being blown into pieces by Yamaha’s N3XA long range missile.

P.S.

I’d also advise James to come hither for the official launch of the NV12, and maybe, just maybe, we might offer some protection despite his political inclinations……

I think the Japanese music instrument industry has amply shown that innovation is not at the core of their business, and the idea that they should use AI (or anything branded that way) in marketing is a bit of a stretch …

I’m sorry to break it to you people, but AI is everything, everywhere, all at once; you just haven’t been made aware of it.

And I’m not talking of making a video using AI, I’m talking about AI keeping track on all of us, and creating profiles upon which they will then sell us stuff, and “point us in the right direction” when it comes to something as simple as going for the fish & chips instead of bacon & eggs, to bigger things, like moving to Colorado and leaving your old life behind.

So yes, AI has already influenced us all in terms of what piano/VST to buy, or how can you explain the MD craze? surely AI is behind the MD (hysteria), and the truth is that AI isn’t even expensive (as suggested by Qausi) to implement, so, no massive investment is necessary for Roland-AI to subliminally “push us in the right direction.”

If you want to be unaffected by AI, the only option is to go off the grid (I recommend the Himalayas), but in all honesty, I can’t even assure you of that, because last I heard, they now have internet up in there (the Himalayas), so yes, we’re AI’s biatches!
