I’ve come to terms with the fact that it is an all-consuming addiction!
For example: ever since Kawai released the “teaser picture” hinting at an “NV-20,” I fell off the wagon and haven’t been able to get back on (that wagon)…
I’m not kidding when I tell you that between this here place, Kawai’s site, YouTube, and other places ‘round the internet, I’ve been on a “get-more-info” binge, and must’ve broken the Kawai site by checking in every other minute for the hope of yet another teaser; not to mention, my thoughts constantly revolving around “the possibilities,” and fantasizing about no speakers at all (only a soundboard), Neotex key surfaces, and, of course, the implied partnership with you-know-who (that one really through me off the rails)….
The whole NAMM thing is over, yet I still keep checking here, there, everything, everywhere all at once, looking for that quick fix: “It’s coming, the NV-20, at Musikmesse….”
Keep in mind that I’m not even in the market for a “new” piano, yet still, I’m ever-consumed by this obsession/addiction…..
P.S.
For all it’s worth, I’d like to say that before I visited a certain forum we all know, I could care less about specs, and/or upcoming events/instruments, and I’d simply walk into GC and bought what I liked; perhaps completely unaware that the new model was sitting right next to it……those were happier days, but now I’m a mess (thanks to you guys).😁
