Please pardon my tardiness, for I’ve been occupied, but I suppose I can set it all aside (for a minute) to indulge in thy same ol’ tired rhetoric……
“Is it worth it?” you ask,
In a nutshell, NO!
But I’ll give them this: going for the color red seems to have worked well for them, so I’d be hesitant to venture outside of that….
God forbid, they go crazy at Nord, and decided on black, for that could prove catastrophic; you know, like the abomination called the “Nord Grand” (or something like that) that sells for a lot, yet gives you so little action (yes, they’re using Kawai’s mid-level RH3, and no, there ain’t nothing grand about that)……
Is the N1X worth it? YES! but I digress, and surely these are very different instruments; however, the N1X does fashion a grand piano action, and still, they were humble-enough not to call it the “N1X-Grand,” so yes, Nord is overrated (color me red), and you’d be better off buying a Yamaha!
IMHO!
