I recently got a new iPad and am thinking of using it as replacement for printed sheet music while practicing/playing. I've seen a number of professional musicians using e-tablets to read scores during recitals, so I imagine there must be some pretty decent dedicated software at this point.
Before I dive down the rabbit hole, I wanted to check if anyone has experiences with different programs and if there are any you would recommend for iPad specifically?
Ideally, I would like something that allows me to download scores in PDF and make my own annotations (fingerings, written comments, color coding of certain notes/passages, etc.). Currently, I am just doing this the old fashioned way by printing out the score on paper, writing my own notes and fingerings with a pencil and highlighter, etc., but if there is a way to do this all electronically, it could potentially make the process a bit easier and avoid me having to decipher my own chicken scrawl.
Thanks in advance!
