jdg78 It just doesn't provide the same degree of refinement and control as VSL or Garritan, especially within the softer velocities.
There's something weird with the releases in 300 grand also. If you crank the release level up, some staccatos sound like you're re-triggering the notes on key-off, but if you reduce the level low enough to fix that, staccatos sound unnaturally abrupt. Maybe it is some kind of technical limitation with Kontakt -- I haven't heard convincing staccatos in any Kontakt piano (including Noire, which is probably my favorite Kontakt piano), whereas they feel/sound pretty natural in the Synchron pianos, Modern U, and Ivory 3.
It'd be interesting to see what happens if Jason ever decides to let the community collaborate on fixing this up. It has a lot of potential.
