I'd like more PW members to join us here in Clackville. In particular these folks:

Indeed, I had to drop all things piano, including piano lessons and practice, earlier this year due to a tough local situation. I still intend to get back on track eventually.

Btw, I couldn't use my "real" email account since the confirmation email never reached me @cs.mcgill.ca. I used a forwarding email and the confirmation reached me just fine at my normal address.

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like suspending your piano playing is not something you desired. Hopefully, you'll be back on track sooner than later if that is what you want.

Well, that made me look at the DNS settings on CloudFlare and I realized that I may have to add SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, so that receiving email servers won't consider emails from the forum as spoofed. Maybe that's what happened, your Email provider considered that email untrusted since it was sent from my hosting email server, but the DNS records for pianoclack.com (stored on CloudFlare) didn't contain those records to list the hosting company email server as the one that is allowed to send such emails.

I created a dummy account for this forum to test whether I can register to the forum and receive an email because messing around with SPF, DKIM and DMARC may cause emails to not be trusted at all and thus prevent people from registering on the forum. It worked and I successfully registered. Hopefully I am not missing anything.

I know being remote severely limits our actions, but we are all human beings and can do "stuff". Besides the obvious "electronic" things, we can do also some material one, e.g. shipping you stuff, or immaterial ones, e.g. pray 🙏

I did "cheat" as there is an out-of-tune Boston piano (surprisingly nice) at the Chapel in the children's hospital where I spent some time.
