dore_m Was watching this video and aside from how well Bruce Hornsby performs, I noticed the Pianobar on the piano. What do you think it was used for? A later remix? https://youtu.be/FyxIIQdhklU?si=c7m1OwzU7U-8lj8F
Johnstaf CyberGene never knew about that product, very interesting idea. They got rid of it. I'd love to know why it wasn't viable (it that was the reason).
dore_m But why would they use it other than to either realtime trigger other sounds(I didn't hear any) or to keep the midi to record or remix later?
SouthPark Most likely because people don't want to bolt one onto the piano and damage the finish etc, and it intrudes into visible key region territory. This is regardless of cost. Basically … a 'what was I thinking?' situation.
n-player At about the 1:00 timestamp, Mike Verta shows how he (Mike) adds a pad when playing this song live. Mike Verta's tutorials are good fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=estWHwgY-C4
SouthPark Just to make it clear, the 'what was I thinking?' comment was only about the pianobar thing. Outside of that - thumbs up Moog! Go the MF-102. Works great.
