jenpal Thanks for mentioning that JP! I bought a wav to flac converter last night. I know there are free ones etc, but just bought this one to try out. I just installed it a moment ago, and generated this .flac one. Just played it a couple of times to test - where audacity loaded it after clicking on the .flac file. As crisp/vibrant as the wav file sounds. Thumbs up with the .flac.
4.6 megabyte for the flac, as compared with the 15.4 megabyte wav file!
The mp3 one - I can really tell, as when it gets up to parts where I want a particular hit or 'burst' of vibrancy in the note/sound, it doesn't come/show up. There's just noticeably more 'vibrancy' in the lossless audio for this particular sort of sounds/music. When I play the wav or this new flac file, the detail is there where I'm expecting it. The nice thing is -- the flac is definitely a lot smaller in file size. I can understand the issue with wav file, as in it takes up a heap more room, and can be a problem for uploads, especially if there's quota etc. As this forum is a free one. I definitely understand that.
