David B It's almost like notes were doubled up. However, I played it again and it sounded just fine. I've noticed that often when I click on an audio link for the first time it usually behaves funny. Sometime it will cut in and out. This last time it had a weird wobbly/double note effect. However, it seems to correct itself if I let it play though and then click on the link a second time. I assumed it was my computer/internet connection, but now I think it's the forum software needing to buffer or something since someone else noticed it.
Thanks for mentioning that David!
Confirming your findings and observations. The forum media player is really great in that it has the play (triangle) icon that normally appears next to an uploaded audio file. Sometimes a glitch occurs - where the player software either receives a rapid double-tap on the mouse, or it just registers a rapid double-tap, resulting in two versions of the same audio file playing at the same time on that same player. If the time delay is relatively small, then the result can be quite a pleasant rich/thick sounding one, sounding quite nice. But usually, the time delay is relatively large, then the listener will definitely notice two files playing at the same time, one being a delayed version of the other.
The forum player software probably needs the equivalent of a 'debounce' function or something to prevent the double-play condition.
Sometimes - there can be no 'play' icon next to an audio file within the thread, as if the play icon is missing. And the icon will then appear after a refresh of the browser window.
