But still, Kurzweil has made no significant progress since Hyundai, so I’m left wondering, why even bother?
It seems to me that Toyota keeps Hyundai up at night pondering about ‘how to catch up’ (which will never happen), and then to further stress themselves by going into an industry they know nothing of, and one that is not necessarily lucrative (pianos), truly baffles me.
Did Kurzweil make any parts that could be retrofitted into a Sonata? Perhaps Hyundai is using Kurzweil’s pedals in their cars?
I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable having a sustain pedal for acceleration, and/or the sostenuto for braking, so I’m still wondering what Kurzweil adds to Hyundai’s bottom line….
Could it be that Hyundai’s owner has a soft spot for digital pianos, and this was no more than a pet-project, hobby, passion-investment that was never expected to yield any profits?
I simply ask the questions, that’s all!
Surely, you’re aware of how often Kurzweil is mentioned ‘round here; heck, we talk more about Casio watches than we do Kurzweil (pianos)….
