My pianos *DEBUNKED*

InstrEd

Pete14 IMHO!

Nice to see that you have become Humble again Pete🤣

InstrEd

Rubens I nominate sofia for "woman" of the year, possibly of the century.

Even if She is a He or an It or AI 😜

CyberGene

InstrEd Even if She is a He

Or maybe “they”? But not in terms of that modern pronoun stuff but literally plural, because it can be a bunch of people who are behind the hoax.

Pete14

Sofia is the gift that keeps on giving!

Here we are, past the samples, discussing pronouns, AI, and the meaning of life, “what does it all mean?”

I’m sorry, but a simple hoax cannot achieve this much, and, dare I say, that future generations will continue discussing Sofia!

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if a newly modeled piano is named after her, Sofia, my immortal beloved, my angel, my other self!

You see, I, too, have fallen in love with Sofia, so don’t take offense when I poke fun at you, for I, too, fell hard for Sofia, the 22-year-old Italian student!

QuasiUnaFantasia

Con men, generally, are not gifts that keep on giving, and the "Sordid, Openly Fiendish, Immoral Activites" company in particular is not one such either.

CyberGene

Pete’s been desperately trying to defend Sofia, to make it appear as a success, as noble and whatnot and that hysteria makes me think he might be one of “them” 😀 What do you say in your defense, hm?

InstrEd

CyberGene What do you say in your defense, hm?

I think Pete identifies as a him/he 😆

HZPiano

InstrEd him/he

InstrEd Even if She is a He or an It or AI 😜

Pretty sure "Sofia" has confirmed that he is not a she in real life.

Which makes sense, because in my experience this type of strange, obsessive behavior doesn't often manifest itself in women, at least not in relation to a subject as esoteric and geeky as digital piano VSTs.

Not to say it's impossible, but unlikely.

InstrEd

HZPiano Pete/Karen

Pete is our very own Drama Queen

HZPiano

InstrEd AI 😜

Not an AI. Otherwise, what would an AI need all the Coffee for that people have been buying it?

Cheers and happy ☕,

HZ

InstrEd

Thanks HZPiano for reminding me to go for a nice refill

SouthPark

Pete14 my other self!

We'll let them chew on the paranoia for a while heheheh. That's the grand plan of the majesty.

In a sitting room ..... of agatha christie ... or miss marple, everyone eyeing each other.

Geez. Lucky this was mentioned here in PC. In PW, this would be perm ban material.

Also get rocks thrown at us, as it is now equal opportunity. Also ... in the words of sherlock or spock, who quoted sherlock, when you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains ... can't remember the rest of it.

Rubens

"I think this is highly inappropriate and your nasty comments are unfair to women and to men, not to mention tiresome to read, and one cannot assume gender based on what was said, and the vast majority of people would agree with me, and I will have to complain to the moderators because I've been a member of this forum since 1986 and I have the most posts here."

Pete14

Wasn’t it nice whence Sofia used to stop by ‘round here right after school?

I remember her saying ‘I just got home from school, and no sooner had I dropped my backpack, whence I felt giddy with anticipation, and could not wait to meet, once again, with my dear PC friends….’

Yet how did we repay her?

Well, at first we loved her, but then it came to our attention that Sofia, 22, wasn’t perfect after all, and our attitude towards her took a turn for the worse. A reflection, I say, on our idealistic relationship with perfection, or the lack thereof.

“Wait, she’s not perfect?”

“No! She has some flaws.”

“Screw her, then.”

“Isn’t that what you wanted to do?”

“How dare you! I’m married!”

Don’t be a stranger, Sofia……….

Rubens

To me, Sofia will always be a woman, a shy and mysterious italian beauty, geeking out over the most delightful piano samples, wearing the skimpiest outfits in the guarded secrecy of her remote neapolitan villa.

burkey

QuasiUnaFantasia

QuasiUnaFantasia there is no modelling without previous sampling; the modelling algorithm does not know what to aim for unless it has a specific goal. That goal is provided by samples

So technically… what you are saying is:
All modeling is likely to involve plagiarism / copyright infringement?!
