burkey Or will something more modern like Ben Folds or Elton John be a reasonable contender?
Youtube requires you have secured the copyright for posting it, so good luck with that. The new AI-based youtube algorithm will find you and bite you very hard. Heck it has bitten even the Duo Matschulat (search them in youtube) playing their own arrangements of Bach! But if you can secure the copyright, you can play whatever you want.
burkey I do find it rather amusing that they want it published on YouTube… which compresses all audio down to ludicrously crappy 128kbps. So much for high fidelity Pianoteq!
😆
CyberGene Pianoteq has this typical rubbery feeling to it, I don't know how to describe it better. It's like the spectral content doesn't evolve in the natural way you would expect from a piano linearly. More like a synth.
I can tell that I don't love it, but I have always troubles to find the right words. Will think of these next time (before it was the "nasal") and see if it applies. But note that the thread is about the competition, not the "is Pianoteq any good" 😀
