This vid is for Janda (from PW, but may possibly join and post here later) - who private messaged me in PW - regarding vibration rattles from onboard speakers/grill. I mentioned that I would do a vid to show that my particular P-525 unit doesn't have speaker/grill rattles.
It is known that at least some P-series do come out of the factory with rattles. And at least one person discovered their P-series rattle was due to vibrating cable/wire hooked up to the internal speaker - near the connection/lug region. The vibration/rattle was permanently gone after re-doing the connection - eg. stiffening the connecting region.
If the speaker grill itself rattles - and if the rattle goes away when applying firm pressure with the hand, or the rattle goes away when stress on the P-series chassis is re-distributed (such as moving the P-series a little bit), then it might be better to get a Yamaha tech to re-seat stuff - such as (if it is in there) silicone/rubber shim/spacer component for the grill.
The P-series naturally isn't meant to produce rattles from speakers or grill. I would certainly get Yamaha to sort it - especially if the P-series is new and under warranty.
Here, I'm just holding my old samsung phone. And I hear no rattling when playing the notes on the piano - in person.
