Welcome to the club, David!
My addiction/obsession is so bad that Iām constantly checking here (and elsewhereš) for new releases even though Iām aware how rare these are (unlike smartphones; which are updated every year), but when there is a release, I go off the rails and the obsession takes into over-drive; even when I know Iām not particularly getting that or this new release, but that doesnāt stop me from salivating & fantasizing over it.
No disrespect to this -and elsewhere- place, but I tell you, before I started visiting these places I was ānormal,ā and could not care less about new this/that, longer pivots, more samples etc..; heck, if asked whether my action was folded or not, Iād have no idea what you were talking about; incidentally, I ran my pianos to the ground, and only when absolutely necessary did I even think about getting another one, and so aloof I was, that the brand-spanking-new model could be sitting next to the āoldā generation and I would not even be aware, and in the end, a la Mac, Iād buy whatever I enjoyed playing regardlessā¦ā¦ignorance is bliss, they say.
I must admit something: sometimes I do love my addiction, and as CG says, it can be lots of fun; especially coming āround here to tease yāall, and destroy the competition.š
BTW, when it comes to everything else, still, I couldnāt care less, but if I started visiting āTechie-Worldā that would quickly change, so I steer clear from potential addictions in the makingā¦ā¦..
