My .sfz is a bit rusty, but I believe:
- lokey= defines the first key (by midi number) of a group of keys that should trigger the sample;
- hikey= defines the last key of the group;
- pitch_keycenter= indicates the key that should trigger the sample unaltered (at least in pitch);
- keys other than indicated by pitch_keycenter= also trigger the sample, however the .sfz player then repitches it according to the position of that other key relative to pitch_keycenter=.
When a sample should be triggered by one key only, .sfz still handles your script line as considering a group, so lokey= and hikey= are always specified, in this case both indicating the same key. Maybe pitch_keycenter= can then be omitted, thus defaulting to the one key; a simple test can confirm or bust that.
